A Major Medical Health Insurance Plan meets all the minimum essential benefit standards of the Affordable Care Act (ACA or “Obamacare”), providing coverage for a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services.
On the Marketplace exchange, there are four levels of plans: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each plan level pays a different portion of your health care costs and has varying premium levels.
Short-term Health Insurance Plans are designed to provide temporary, creditable coverage for limited periods when you are between standard health insurance or major medical insurance coverage.
These plans typically have lower premium prices compared to major medical insurance plans and are intended as temporary solutions for coverage gaps.
It's important to note that COBRA is not considered creditable coverage.
Most Comprehensive Dental Plans include 100% coverage for preventive care, such as annual oral exams, routine cleanings, and X-rays. Basic procedures covered typically include treatments for gum care, extractions, fillings, and root canals. Deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance amounts vary among plans, determining the out-of-pocket expenses for patients.
